African Champions Esperance Tunis – possible World Club Cup rival
The Tunisian team won the African Champions competition on Saturday after beating Wydad Casablanca of Morocco
Josep Guardiola's team have one more rival in the FIFA World Club Cup, to be held in December, after the Tunisian team beat Wydad Casablance 1-0 in the second leg of the African Champions League, after drawing 0-0 in the first leg. Harrison Afful got the winning goal on 21 minutes.
Esperance Tunis complete the list of possible rivals Barça might face in the competition, which is to be held between December 8th and 18th, joining Al-Saad, the Asian champions and the Mexican team Monterrey, who are the CONCACAF Champions.
The draw to decide which of the three teams will play off to face Barça in the semi finals on December 15th in Yokohama will be held at 08.30 Spanish time this Thursday in Nagoya.
The third team will face the winner of the game between Auckland City of New Zealand (the Oceania Champions) and the Japanese Champions and will then play Santos of Brazil in the other semi final, the champions of South America.
