Cesc Fábregas will fit to play for Spain in their World Cup semi-final against Germany in Durban on Wednesday.

The Arsenal midfielder was examined by Spain's team doctor after falling heavily on his shoulder in the 1-0 quarter-final victory over Paraguay on Saturday.

He and Carles Puyol, who suffered blurred vision after being hit in the face by the ball during the same game, have both been given the all-clear.

Fábregas has yet to start a match in the tournament, but Spain looked a better side in the quarter-final after he came on to replace Fernando Torres.

"I am ready to get an injection in order to play," said Fábregas . "If [coach Vicente] Del Bosque needs me I'll be there.
