Well, things just went from bad to worse for the French national team. France’s team director Jean-Louis Valentin has now resigned and said he is “ashamed” of the squad.
The decision to send striker Nikolas Anelka home has obviously caused some bitter feelings amongst the already struggling squad. This morning, the France team refused to practice in protest to send Anelka home.
Only moments after arriving at training this morning, fitness coach Robert Duverne stormed away from a confrontation with coach Domenech. Duverne threw his credential badge to the ground as he walked away from his argument with Domenech.
Shortly after the blow-up, the French squad boarded the bus and did not train.
